Downloading Australian Standards

Australian Standards downloaded files are encrypted, and require Adobe Acrobat Reader and FileOpen to access the contents.

On Campus

TAFE Queensland Education Network computers have Adobe Acrobat Reader and FileOpen installed and ready for student use.
Staff please see Teacher Use for more information.

Off Campus/personal devices

To download standards on a personal device you will need to install the following applications:

• Adobe Acrobat Reader
• FileOpen plug-in

Downloading Australian Standards

1. Search for the standard
2. Select the standard - confirm is the Most recent and includes any amendments
3. Select Download ​​​​- if there are multiple files, select the largest file size
4. The standard will download as a PDF to your device 
5. If your download fails to open - go to your downloads folder, right click on the PDF file and click Open with and select Adobe.

Printing Australian Standards 

Students can print one (1) copy of a standard for educational purposes - students can use either a TAFE Queensland printer or their personal printing device.
