Creative Commons is a form of license that makes the intellectual property it covers easy to use.

There are six types of Creative Commons licenses which give different rights to owners and users. You can read about them here .

You need to attribute Creative Commons materials. Aim for : Creator, Title , URL,  License Type, License URL . You can find a useful guide here

Creative Commons images are easy to find. Try these different Creative Commons searches:

  1. Search Creative Commons
  2. CC Search ( this one does the attributions too.)

If something is in the public domain it means that it is no longer in copyright.

Thus we can use these resources easily for no cost and with little risk
