AS 2870:2011 | Residential slabs and footings
Sets out requirements for the classification of a site and the design and construction of a footing system for a single dwelling house, town house or the like which may be detached or separated by a party wall or common wall but not situated vertically above or below another dwelling. The Standard may also apply to other forms of construction including some light commercial and institutional buildings if they are similar to houses in size, loading and superstructure flexibility. The footing systems for which designs are given include slab on ground, stiffened rafts, waffle rafts, strip footings, pad footings and pitted footings. Includes a Commentary, which provides explanations and additional background material to assist in the interpretation of the Standard.

-
AS 3740:2021 | Waterproofing of domestic wet areas
Sets out minimum requirements for the materials, design and installation of waterproofing for domestic wet areas in Class 1, Class 2 and Class 4 buildings as defined in the NCC. It also applies to wet areas within Class 3 to 9 buildings as if it were a Class 2 or 4 part of a building. KEYWORDS: waterproofing, wet areas

AS 4440:2004 | Installation of nail-plated timber roof trusses
Specifies basic requirements for the bracing, connection and installation of nailplated timber roof trusses. Requirements are given for supporting structures, roof truss installation, roof bracing, truss connection and overhangs. This edition incorporates provision for limit state design methods, requirement for fixing to non-loadbearing external walls, and provisions for intermediate ceiling joists and internal top chord ties for north-light (sky-light) trusses. Appendices provide guidance on temporary bracing, transport, storage, lifting and handling of roof trusses; typical specification for and example of steelbrace; fixing details for typical girder brackets (truss boots); and recommended practice for roof truss installation.
-
AS 4576:2020 | Guidelines for scaffolding
This Standard gives practical guidance for training, the preparation of sites for scaffolding, and the safe selection, supply, erection, alteration, dismantling, maintenance, inspection and use of scaffolding and scaffolding equipment. It is a companion to the AS(/NZS) 1576 series of Standards.
